Volunteer, Evie Menhinnett overcame a fear of heights by completing a 180' abseil off cliffs to raise funds for North Devon Hospice.
Raising nearly £200 for the charity, Evie, from the North Devon Car Scheme, enjoyed the experience so much she did it twice!
Evie said "I was very nervous at first, but friends and organisers helped a lot. Before I knew it I was even jumping down a little!"
She continued "When I got to the bottom some of my sponsors had arrived, but missed my descent. I asked if I could do it again, and there was a gap, so I was lucky to be allowed to do it again."
Anyone who wants to help a Hospice, or other charities, with their fundraising should contact their local Volunteer Centre for more information.
