Volunteering for Stronger Communities

Anyone can volunteer, claims Corena, left..This dynamic new project from Exeter CVS brings community development opportunities to the people that need them most. Instead of developing the skills a community needs away from their neghbourhood, project worker Corena is going to be working with people on their own terms, on their own manor, so to speak.

What are the local needs and issues? How can volunteers help? What skills and training do they need to make this happen? Corena and the team will be on hand to work with local communities to bring about real change, and to enable people to improve their own and each other's lives.

Listen to Corena talk about the project and find out how you could be involved by surfing across the Exeter CVS Radio page now...

First for Barnstaple

A new registered Leg Club is being set up in cuppaBarnstaple.  Volunteers are sought for a number of roles.  The Leg Club, the first of its kind in North Devon, will be a social club to help people with leg health problems in a non-medical community setting.

The group is looking for people to help make cuppas, with activities and chat to put people at their ease.  Committee members, to help run the group, fundraisers and drivers to help transport people will also be welcomed.
