Who we are

We are a friendly Volunteer Centre with offices based in Tavistock and Okehampton, focusing on finding the most appropriate volunteering opportunity for all our volunteers and taking into account individual skills, interests, life experiences, time availability and geographical location. We support volunteer involving organisations to provide the best practice in their approach to volunteer management and work closely with the Volunteer Centre Devon network to provide quality and consistency across the county.

For volunteers we provide:

• One to one advice and guidance
• Referral to an appropriate organisation
• Support and encouragement
• Easy access to a variety of volunteering opportunities
• Follow up and monitoring

For organisations we provide:

• Recruitment and initial interview of volunteers
• Advertising opportunities in local press and radio
• Promotion of volunteering as an enjoyable activity which benefits both volunteer and organisation
• Information, advice and support to encourage a good practice approach to volunteer management
