Following the success of this year's sculpture exhibition at Buckfast Abbey, Dartmouth Contemporary Arts is calling professional artists to get busy.
Bob Dawson, Sculptor and Volunteer Organiser for Dartmouth Contemporary Arts says: " We are already planning next year's exhibition and work displayed in the Medieval Hall will focus on Nature – the bees (which Buckfast Abbey is famous for) are just one prime example of nature inspiring sculpture and it is fascinating how Nature itself sculpts..." Ultimately it is
planned to get Buckfast recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Contemporary Sculpture.
International Artists, professional sculptors, community groups and art loving stewards are called to get involved in the exhibition in April next year.
