Using VolunteerDevon.net

From December 2011, a list of registered organisations and volunteers will be available online for other website users to explore.  You will be able to choose whether your personal or contact details are included in this list.  If you are included, individuals or organisations interested in working with you will be able to contact you using the details you supply.

In the meantime, the information you enter on your VolunteerDevon.net profile will be used only for the following purposes:

Helping your local Volunteer Centre to build partnerships, matching up voluntary organisations with volunteers interested in helping them. This may include adding your basic information to the national Do-It! volunteering database and the V-Base database maintained in your local Volunteer Centre.

Keeping you informed of the latest volunteering news, information and opportunities that may be of interest to you (or your organisation) through our regular email newsletters. Your subscriptions are based on your areas of interest and you can change or cancel these subscriptions at any time.

Monitoring and evaluating Volunteer Centre practice - statistics may be compiled (with all identifying information removed) to ensure your Volunteer Centre is providing the best service possible in terms of diversity and fairness.

Your information is confidential - you can specify what information, if any, is visible to other website users. Your information will not be shared outside the Devon Volunteer Centres/CVS unless you choose to make it public. Your information will not be supplied to any commercial organisations.
